Operations Shift Supervisor
Location: Stonehouse
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £26,000 – £27,500 per year
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly organized and motivated Warehosue Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all departments. The role focuses on managing health and safety, stock control, team performance, and meeting productivity targets. The successful candidate will possess experience in logistics, materials handling, and warehouse management, with strong leadership skills to motivate the team and maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Shift Supervisor:
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed by all staff and documented properly.
- Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork to meet productivity targets and dispatch timescales.
- Oversee stock control, order processing, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Monitor staff performance and progress, providing regular updates to the line manager.
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and security of the work environment, including overseeing the front yard and ensuring machinery and equipment are properly maintained.
- Oversee the quality of service delivered to clients, ensuring all customer needs are met within set deadlines.
- Report HR issues, manage holidays, and ensure all departments are adhering to company procedures.
- Implement new procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Ensure accurate weekly stock counts are provided to accounts.
- Provide support to other departments as needed and cover for staff during holidays or absences.
Key Skills and Experience of a Warehouse Shift Supervisor:
- 1 year of logistics experience (required)
- 1 year of materials handling experience (required)
- 1 year of warehouse management system experience (required)
- 1 year of team management experience (required)
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety, fire, and security regulations.

- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and order in the workplace.
- Monitoring and improving staff performance, productivity, and compliance with procedures.
- Ensuring no delays in dispatch and all items are sent on time.
