Salary: £13.85 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30 – 4.3o

Job Description

Our client is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse operation. This role involves a variety of warehouse duties including goods handling, stock movement, and supporting the wider logistics team to ensure orders are processed efficiently. The role would suit someone hands-on, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative

• Receive and unload incoming deliveries and containers.
• Move and store stock safely within the warehouse.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Load vehicles ready for distribution.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts where required.
• Carry out regular stock checks and maintain accurate stock levels.
• Ensure all goods are stored correctly and safely.
• Support the wider warehouse team with general operational tasks as required.

Key Skills of a Warehouse Operative

• Previous experience working within a warehouse or production environment.
• Valid forklift licence (counterbalance ideally) 
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to follow instructions and work safely in a warehouse environment.
