Location:
Tewkesbury
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 shifts per week (Monday – Sunday)
- Early: 05:00 – 13:00
- Day: 09:00 – 17:00
- Late: 13:00 – finish
- Sundays: 06:00 – finish (typically 10–11 hour shifts)
Salary:
Starting at £14.12 per hour, rising to £14.54 with training
Key Responsibilities of a Trainee Process Operative:
- Safely intake, control, and process products within a hygienic food production environment.
- Prepare and operate machinery, including CIP equipment, in line with company standards and food safety legislation.
- Monitor health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Maintain clear communication across production teams and departments.
- Support efficient workflow and assist with troubleshooting where required.
Key Skills of a Trainee Process Operative:
- Experience in food production or machine operation is desirable, though proactive candidates from fast-paced environments will be considered.
- Ability to work methodically with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach.
- Flexible and adaptable to varying shift patterns.
Training & Development:
- Full trainee programme (6–7 months) starting on the external tanker bay.
- Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.
- Progression to Process Operative and future development towards Process Technician.
- Opportunity to achieve Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.
