Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 4:30pm

Salary
£24,124 – £33,903 per annum 

Key Responsibilities of a Technical Desk Spares Engineer

  • Assist service engineers in identifying correct part numbers using machine manuals
  • Support engineers with identifying spindles across a range of machines
  • Raise PIDBs with factories to obtain parts delivery information
  • Prepare and issue customer quotations
  • Process customer orders following order confirmation
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm availability and delivery times of parts
  • Provide day-to-day support as part of the Spares Team within the Service Department

Key Skills of a Technical Desk Spares Engineer

  • Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach
  • Able to think logically and work effectively under pressure
  • Team player with the ability to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and consistently high standards of work
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work independently when required
  • Good computer literacy
  • Knowledge of CNC machine tools or similar engineering products (desirable)
  • Experience using multiple computer systems (desirable)
