Location: Quedgeley

Hours: Full time, day shift (early finish on Friday)

Salary: £13.33 per hour plus excellent benefits

Key Responsibilities of a Storesperson:

• Control stock within the stores
• Carry out receipt and issues for goods going into & out of the stores
• Ensure that all goods are booked in accurately and transferred and kitted as required within defined timeframes
• Ensure that all required documentation is dispatched with the goods
• Conduct perpetual inventory measurements and stock adjustments as needed
• Perform goods-in visual inspections to check for defects or damage
• Identify stock shortages and manage replenishment
• Correctly kit works order components and materials, making necessary changes to valve structures
• Enter information into the MRP system
• Prepare documents in line with company processes, including goods received notes, route cards, and non-conformance reports
• Use a forklift truck (FLT) to unload deliveries and move stock
• Operate an overhead crane as required
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the stores area
• Follow company procedures and suggest improvements where necessary

Key Skills of a Storesperson:

• Minimum 1 year of stores experience, ideally in a mechanical engineering environment
• Valid FLT licence and experience using an overhead crane
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Ability to read and interpret documents
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Effective time management
