SMT Supervisor
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Hours: 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Thursday and 8 AM to 12:30 PM on a Friday
Salary: £33,000 to £36,000 p/annum Dependant on Experience
Our client is one of North EU’s leading manufacturing partners of electronic products. Their service covers everything from production to the highest after-sales services.

Key Responsibilities of a SMT Supervisor
- Oversee all activities within your team.
- Ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Provide guidance, instruction, and leadership to team members.
- Decide how to approach tasks and develop plans to accomplish them.
- Consider the team’s strengths, weaknesses, and available resources.
- Managing tasks and department documents.
- Establish and communicate goals that team members will work toward.
- Motivate the team and provide direction.
- Support Surface Mount (SMT) assembly line/equipment, including programming, maintenance, equipment/software troubleshooting, and debugging of new and existing production assembly programs.
- Ensuring NPIs are implemented effectively •
- Perform failure analysis and/or root cause analysis of defects and/or field returns.
- Perform inspections, corrective and preventive actions, and other quality assurance-related assignments to ensure that the SMT line is producing a high-quality product.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
- Monitor the machine condition to run smoothly and avoid unnecessary breakdowns.
- Covering department holidays and running SMT equipment as necessary
Key Skills of a (Job Title)
- Effective 360 communication, distributing information to team members and stakeholders throughout the business.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience of continuous running and setting of SMT equipment.
- Minimum 2 years leading a team
- Understanding of Mycronics equipment is desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of IPC 610 standards
- Highly organised
- Computer literate
