Salary:
£17.50 – £18.00 per hour dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter Operator – Sliding Head:

  • Set, operate, and programme sliding head CNC machines
  • Produce precision machined components to specification
  • Work with Star and Citizen sliding head machinery
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and programme adjustments
  • Inspect components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards
  • Maintain machine efficiency and production output

Key Skills of a CNC Setter Operator – Sliding Head:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience setting and programming sliding head CNC machines
  • Experience with Star and/or Citizen machines
  • Ability to edit and optimise programmes
  • Strong understanding of precision engineering and machining practices
  • Experience using inspection equipment including micrometers and verniers
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
