Location: Aberdare, UK

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Technician:

• Support and lead on routine technical delivery, including complex test setups, execution, and safe dismantling.
• Assist the engineering team with data collection and dissemination, using multiple logging systems and online platforms such as SharePoint and Box.
• Perform data analysis and basic reporting using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, handling formats such as *.CSV and *.MF4.
• Provide technical support to engineering teams and assist with the development of new technical offerings.
• Participate in both onsite and offsite customer tests and wider engineering activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including design and implementation of new testing and engineering processes.
• Act as a Health and Safety lead on site, maintaining documentation and ensuring safe operation of the facility.
• Oversee annual maintenance, calibration, and compliance requirements for the facility.

Key Skills of a Senior Technician:

• Experienced in test setup, execution, and dismantling.
• Proficient with manual and machine shop tooling.
• Understanding of electronics, test equipment, and data logging systems.
• Skilled in data analysis and software packages for reporting.
• Qualified and experienced in high-voltage DC (automotive) systems.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety practices in engineering and testing environments.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, working effectively to deadlines.
