Sales Development Representative  

Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire (Hybrid – 2 days in office) 
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45 – 17:00 
Salary: £30,000 – £37,000 base, OTE £45,000 – £52,000 (dependent on experience) 

Job Description 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Sales Development Representative with SaaS experience to play a pivotal role in identifying prospects, generating new business, and supporting sales pipeline growth. This fast-paced, dynamic role will involve close collaboration with the sales and marketing teams to drive company growth. 

Key Responsibilities of a Sales Development Representative: 

  • Research, identify, and engage potential prospects to drive new business opportunities.
  • Build brand awareness through outbound social media, phone, and email outreach.
  • Schedule appointments and follow up on leads to nurture sales pipeline. 
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on strategies, including account mapping and ABM (account-based marketing). 
  • Use CRM software to track leads, manage activities, and maintain accurate records. 
  • Keep current with industry developments, market trends, and competitors. 
  • Provide regular updates and reports on progress and outcomes. 
  • Continuously develop skills and share best practices across the team. 

Key Skills of a Sales Development Representative: 

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, with 3+ years in outbound SaaS SDR roles. 
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – with confident, engaging storytelling ability. 
  • CRM proficiency essential; experience with LinkedIn and AI tools desirable. 
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented. 
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills. 
  • Strong organisational, time management, and analytical abilities. 
  • Adaptable, team-focused, and driven to learn and grow. 
  • Degree in business or related field desirable. 
  • Knowledge of protech and fintech sectors desirable but not essential.
