Sales Administrator – 7049
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: £29,000 – £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Employment Status: Permanent
Key Responsibilities of an Internal Sales Administrator
- Handle customer enquiries by telephone and email, providing accurate information on products, pricing, availability and delivery.
- Process sales enquiries, quotations, customer orders and order acknowledgements accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate customer, product, sales and supplier records.
- Place and monitor purchase orders, liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and delivery dates.
- Monitor customer orders, stock availability, back orders and deliveries through to completion.
- Liaise with warehouse, carriers and logistics providers to ensure deliveries are completed on time.
- Administer customer returns, complaints, defective goods, replacements, credits and agreed resolutions.
- Support Accounts with customer queries, invoicing, credit information and relevant documentation.
- Follow the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and maintain accurate, traceable records.
- Work closely with Sales, Accounts, Warehouse and Management to support efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Skills of an Internal Sales Administrator
- Previous experience in sales administration, customer service or office administration.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good Microsoft Office and computerised business system skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a small team.
- Proactive, reliable, flexible and professional approach.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and take responsibility.
Essential Criteria of an Internal Sales Administrator
- Previous experience dealing professionally with customers.
- Experience using computerised business systems.
- Experience handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Experience maintaining accurate records.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Distribution or wholesale environment.
- Importing and exporting.
- Drop-shipping.
- ERP or CRM systems.
- Supplier liaison and purchasing.
- Logistics and delivery administration.
- Product returns and complaints.
- ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
