Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Stonehouse
Hours: 7.30am – 4.30pm Mon to Thurs, 7.30am – 12.30pm Friday
Salary: £28,000
Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:
- Perform first-off inspections and complete first article reports in line with customer and internal requirements
- Carry out in-process and final inspections against engineering drawings and specifications
- Conduct incoming goods inspection
- Use a range of inspection equipment and guages
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Identify and report non-conforming products in line with procedures
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Ensure all equipment is within calibration prior to use
- Maintain a clean, organised inspection area
- Support internal audits, 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Skills of a Quality Inspector:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
- Experience using inspection devices and guages
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in an inspection department
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- IT literate with experience completing electronic inspection reports
