Location: Nailsworth
Hours: 07.30 – 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 07.30 – 12.30 Friday
Salary: £32,500 – £36,500 DOE
Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a permanent opportunity offering an immediate start, working within a precision engineering environment supporting aerospace components.

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:

• Conduct first off, in-process and final inspections
• Complete inspection record sheets and goods reject notes
• Inspect aerospace components using micrometres, verniers and height gauges
• Operate CMM equipment including Aberlink (or similar)
• Use shadowgraph and other metrology equipment
• Ensure all inspection activity complies with ISO 9001 standards
• Maintain full traceability and customer documentation
• Raise and support completion of 8D reports, NCRs and SCARs
• Maintain accurate scrap records and support corrective actions
• Assist production teams with quality-related queries
• Support calibration control of measuring equipment
• Liaise professionally with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters
• Report directly to the QHSE Manager

Key Skills of a Quality Inspector:

• Strong understanding of ISO standards
• Experience using CMMs, shadowgraph/projector and Trimos height gauges
• Ability to accurately record inspection and non-conformance documentation
• Experience within aerospace or precision engineering environments
• Knowledge of continuous improvement principles
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
