Key Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in line with AS9100 standards
- Conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement effective corrective actions
- Act as a key point of contact for customers on quality-related matters
- Support continuous improvement activities across manufacturing and quality processes
- Investigate non-conformances and drive preventative actions
- Monitor quality performance metrics and produce reports as required
- Support customer audits and regulatory inspections
Key Skills of a Quality Engineer
- Previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards and quality systems
- Experience conducting audits and managing corrective actions
- Proven Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving skills
- Customer-facing experience with the ability to build strong relationships
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficient in quality tools and continuous improvement methodologies
