Job Title: Quality Engineer – New Product Introduction / First Article Inspection (NPI/FAIR)

Location: Stroud (GL5) with support required at our Staverton facility (GL51). Infrequent travel to group facilities outside of the UK may be required. Travel expenses between GL5 and GL51 will be refunded by the company.

Hours: 39 Hours per week – Day Shift, typically 7:30am to 4pm (Monday – Thursday), Friday 7:30am to 3pm. 30-minute daily unpaid break.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
 

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer – NPI/FAIR

• Interpret customer requirements, including customer drawings and specifications, to assist with New Product Introduction (NPI).

• Complete and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) for new and infrequently produced products, ensuring compliance with customer expectations.

• Support the Quality Control Team in managing internal quality control of produced products.

• Manage and deliver specific assigned quality-related projects and objectives.

• Contribute to a safety-first culture in all actions.
   

Key Skills of a Quality Engineer – NPI/FAIR

Essential:

• At least 3 years of direct experience in a CNC machining environment inspecting machined products.

• Proven ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.

• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong communication skills.

• Experience in completing and submitting First Article Inspection Reports.

• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

• Experience working in an Aerospace AS9100 approved facility.

• Familiarity with Net-Inspect Quality Management System.

• Awareness of CNC Milling/Turning and CAD/CAM processes.

• Experience with Safran DVI process.

• Experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
