Quality & Compliance Engineer

Location: Stonehouse
Hours: 7:30 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 7:30 – 12:30 Friday
Salary: £40,000

Key Responsibilities of a Quality & Compliance Engineer:

• Take ownership of compliance activities across the business, ensuring adherence to ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage, maintain, and develop quality management systems including ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, and ISO 14001.
• Support the company’s Health & Safety management systems, ensuring safe working practices and continuous improvement of procedures.
• Lead and support internal and external audits, ensuring findings are addressed in a timely manner.
• Oversee APQP and PPAP activities, from initial design phases through to final submission and approval.
• Provide inspection data, compliance reporting, and quality assurance information to senior management.
• Support the use of metrology and testing facilities, ensuring accurate measurement and analysis to maintain product integrity.
• Contribute to risk assessments, corrective action plans, and root cause analysis for compliance and quality-related issues.
• Promote sustainability initiatives within compliance and quality frameworks.

Key Skills of a Quality & Compliance Engineer:

• Minimum HNC qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and quality systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and preferably IATF 16949.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and other core quality tools.
• Experience with metrology, inspection methods, and quality data reporting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive and hands-on approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and compliance excellence.
