Quality Assurance Technician 6483

Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

Hours: 40 hours per week – rotating shifts (Mon–Fri):

Start times alternate every two weeks: 07:00–16:00 / 07:30–16:30 / 08:00–17:00
Fridays: 07:00–13:00 / 07:30–13:30 / 08:00–14:00
Includes 2 x 15-minute paid breaks and 1 x 30-minute unpaid break (Mon–Thurs)

Salary: £13.00 per hour
There may be a requirement to work morning and evening shifts in the future.


Key Responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Technician:

  • Perform quality control inspections of materials and finished goods for production.

  • Complete all goods-in paperwork and file correctly within the relevant supplier folders.

  • Conduct in-line process inspection across moulding, extrusion, assembly, and packing operations.

  • Ensure production and quality paperwork is completed accurately and that samples are present.

  • Collect and launder workwear according to internal housekeeping procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records of scrap material, completing scrap sheets and work order logs.

  • Raise and close Quality Issue reports for goods-in and production areas as required.

  • Report any quality concerns to senior staff and communicate effectively with production teams.

  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Line Manager.


Key Skills of a Quality Assurance Technician:

Essential:

  • Confident in communicating quality concerns across all levels.

  • Strong observation skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Reliable, practical, and able to work well independently and in a team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

  • Awareness of health & safety regulations.

  • Good time management and task prioritisation.

  • Physically fit with high personal hygiene standards.

  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a QA role or quality inspection work.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
