Key Responsibilities of a Project Engineer

  • Evaluate market demands and customer challenges to support product and process development initiatives.

  • Implement, test, and deliver training on new technologies and products within the manufacturing environment.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers to define product specifications and project scope.

  • Develop solutions for complementary technologies such as work holding, measurement systems, and feedback devices to enhance machine capability and adaptability.

  • Oversee projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring timelines and objectives are achieved.

  • Provide technical support and training to Applications Departments across Europe, supporting promotional activity and customer engagement.
     


Key Skills of a Project Engineer

  • Previous experience in a project engineering, technical production, or applications engineering role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, including milling, turning, and part handling.

  • Familiarity with PLC systems and macro programming principles would be advantageous.

  • Hands-on background with the capability to manage both small and large-scale projects effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues, suppliers, dealers, and customers.
