Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire 

The Role

  • To monitor various production machinery 
  • To monitor and maintain product quality and safety standards
  • To monitor and maintain housekeeping standards
  • Deputise for and cover breaks for line supervisor and operators as necessary
  • To monitor and minimise wastage of components

The Person

  • Good team skills, especially with regards communication
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Conscientious and be able to work on their own without direct supervision
  • Able to maintain paperwork systems and have a good grasp of basic mathematics
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail in, what may be at times, a repetitive environment
  • Counterbalance forklift would be an advantage.

Hours of work

The Production Line operates on a shift system. The hours of work will be 5.30am to 2.15pm (5.30am – 1.00pm on Friday) and 1.45pm to 10.15pm (12.45pm – 8.15pm on Friday) rotating weekly

Salary: £23,200 + 10% shift allowance rising to £24,375 + 10% shift allowance following probation period.
