Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum DOE
Location: Skelmersdale
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-focused Payroll Administrator to join a supportive team in Skelmersdale.
Responsibilities of a Payroll Assistant
- Support with collating and processing timesheets into accounting software
- Assist with inputting payable hours including overtime and uplifts based on contract entitlements
- Help prepare payroll information and process data within the payroll module
- Work with the Payroll Manager to gather and organise payroll information for foreign subsidiaries
- Assist with preparing payroll tax information and payments
- Support pension and auto-enrolment administration as required
- Assist with shadow payroll administration
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality across all payroll documentation
Skills & Experience Required for a Payroll Assistant:
- Previous payroll experience required
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay focused during busy periods
- Confident using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel (a short Excel test may be required)
- Good numerical ability with an analytical approach
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of discretion when handling confidential information
