Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum DOE

Location: Skelmersdale

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-focused Payroll Administrator to join a supportive team in Skelmersdale. 

Responsibilities of a Payroll Assistant

  • Support with collating and processing timesheets into accounting software
  • Assist with inputting payable hours including overtime and uplifts based on contract entitlements
  • Help prepare payroll information and process data within the payroll module
  • Work with the Payroll Manager to gather and organise payroll information for foreign subsidiaries
  • Assist with preparing payroll tax information and payments
  • Support pension and auto-enrolment administration as required
  • Assist with shadow payroll administration
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality across all payroll documentation

Skills & Experience Required for a Payroll Assistant:

  • Previous payroll experience required
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay focused during busy periods
  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel (a short Excel test may be required)
  • Good numerical ability with an analytical approach
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential information
