Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Hours: Part Time | 2-3 days per week 
Salary: Up to £16.50 per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day running of their finance function. This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on bookkeeping role, taking ownership of core finance processes and keeping everything accurate and up to date.

You will play a key role in managing the business’s bookkeeping, supporting financial reporting and ensuring VAT and day-to-day accounts processes are managed correctly.

Key Responsibilities of a Part-Time Bookkeeper:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process invoices, expenses and payments in a timely manner.
• Support with month-end processes and basic reporting.
• Maintain financial systems and ensure records are kept accurate and up to date.
• Liaise with external accountants as required.

Key Skills of a Part-Time Bookkeeper:

• Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role.
• Strong, hands-on experience with VAT returns and related queries.
• Confident using accounting software 
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
