Double Day shifts: 6:00am – 2:30pm, 2:15pm – 10:45pm

Salary:
£28,646 + 12.5% shift allowance

Key Responsibilities of a Painter:

  • Preparation of components to achieve high-quality paint finishes
  • Masking and preparing parts prior to painting
  • Colour matching to customer specifications
  • Selecting appropriate paints for different applications
  • Spray painting primers, base coats, top coats and finishes
  • Working with and preparing carbon fibre components
  • Polishing gloss finishes to a high standard
  • Carrying out quality checks on completed work
  • Following work instructions and customer requirements
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Adhering to health, safety and environmental procedures

Key Skills of a Painter:

  • Experience in paint preparation and finishing processes
  • Ability to work with various substrates and use fillers
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to read and understand job packs
  • Experience within aerospace, automotive or manufacturing (desirable)
  • Knowledge of carbon fibre preparation (desirable)
  • Reliable, team-oriented and quality focused
