Operations Manager

Location: Stroud
Hours: 39-hour week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience, plus excellent benefits

Key Responsibilities of an Operations Manager:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership of Site Operations teams, ensuring a safe and compliant environment while delivering high-quality products at an agreed cost.
  • Identify and challenge inefficiencies and process losses, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence.
  • Develop a culture of success through coaching, mentoring, and strong personal leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, implementing best practices across the site.
  • Lead by example in food safety, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Oversee the production process, ensuring 100% adherence to the plan, meeting production KPIs, and minimising waste.
  • Motivate and manage direct reports, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Continuously assess and improve operational efficiency, waste reduction, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Skills of an Operations Manager:

  • Proven operational management experience.
  • Background in food manufacturing (bottling experience preferred but not essential).
  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to understand and promote people values within the team.
