Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Tewkesbury
Hours:
Rotating shifts (2-week rota)
Week 1:
Monday – Friday: 06:00 – 13:45
Saturday: 06:00 – finish (approx. 45 hours total)
Week 2:
Monday – Friday: 13:45 – 21:45 (37.5 hours)
Salary:
£19.89 per hour + overtime at 1.25x after 40 hours
Key Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Respond to breakdowns across production and processing equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Repair, test and recommission machinery safely
- Work in line with Health & Safety policies and site procedures
- Minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across the site
Key Skills of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Essential:
- Strong electrical bias (minimum 70/30 electrical to mechanical split)
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on high-speed / automated machinery
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Background within FMCG or fast-paced production environments
Qualifications (one of the following or equivalent experience):
- HNC / HND / HNCD Level 4/5 in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
- City & Guilds Level 4/5 Electrical Engineering
- Equivalent hands-on engineering experience
