Metrology Technician

Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm, Friday finish at 1pm (39 hours per week)
Contract: Until end of November 2025 (possibility of extension depending on project timelines)
Pay: £13.80 per hour

We are seeking a Metrology Technician to support a small team of engineers on-site at a leading manufacturing facility in Stonehouse. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail is essential. The successful candidate will work primarily with CMM machines and scanners, ensuring parts are measured accurately and issues are detected and recorded.

Key Responsibilities of the Metrology Technician:

• Monitor and operate CMM machines and scanners
• Build and position fixtures for part measurement
• Record machine performance and part patterns
• Follow SOPs and report issues visually and in writing
• Review part specifications and failure reasons

Key Skills of the Metrology Technician:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions precisely
• Awareness of working in a machine-based environment
• Enjoys practical, hands-on work
• Experience in metrology or a quality-focused role preferred
