Mechanical Fitter
Location: Near Dursley
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days
Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa £35,000 DOE + benefits
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their workshop team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong mechanical background and experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Mechanical Fitter:
- Mechanical assembly and fitting work
- Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Reading and interpreting engineering and manufacturing drawings
- Supporting build, refurbishment and assembly activities
- Ensuring work is completed to quality and safety standards
Key Skills of a Mechanical Fitter:
- Solid mechanical fitting experience
- Highly competent with the use of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Methodical and quality-focused approach
