Mechanical Fitter 

Location:  Coleford, Gloucestershire
Hours:  37.5 hours per week | Week One: Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00 | Week Two: Monday – Thursday 14:00-22:00 & Friday 06:00-14:00
Salary:  Competitive

Our client works in a niche sector providing top solutions for pumps. Our client is well known to provide a multiple of pumps for different purposes. They are a global company which can offer progression and support throughout your career growth.

With this role the client is looking for an enthusiastic fitter who is keen to get into a well-known company, they will help with progression and with this role you can move up into a managerial and team lead position.

Key Responsibilities of a Mechanical Fitter:

• Rigging in pumps and testing them as per test procedures and/or customer requirements.
• Test pumps in front of customers and third-party inspectors..
• Follow procedures to ensure the Health, Safety and well-being of all employees, and visitors accordingly..
• Working as part of the test team performance test pumps and record the necessary test data.
• Pass or fail the pump.
• Liaise with F1 manager, test team leader, and senior test engineer.

Key Skills of a Mechanical Fitter:

• Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience.
