Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire
Hours: Full Time
Salary: Competitive, Dependant on Experience
Key Responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer
- Develop and implement efficient manufacturing methods for mechanical components
- Determine the most effective tooling, processes and operational sequences for production
- Review product designs and provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) recommendations
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including SOPs, assembly instructions and routing guides
- Support new product introduction and process development activities
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality and productivity
- Work closely with engineering, production and quality teams to ensure robust manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements
Key Skills of a Manufacturing Engineer
- Previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of AS9100 standards
- Experience in process development and manufacturing engineering
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and manufacturing procedures
- Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
