Location: Stroud
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £30,000–£40,000 per year DOE
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join their dedicated team in Stroud. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial processes and supporting various administrative functions.
Responsibilities of a Management Accountant:

Sales Ledger
-
Oversee debtors and ensure timely collections.

Process purchase invoices, proforma invoices, and supplier payment runs.

Manage supplier contracts and relationships.
-
Reconcile monthly company credit cards and manage staff expense claims.
-
Bank postings and reconciliations.
-
Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounts up to trial balance.

Assist with management accounts preparation, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, journal entries, P&L, and balance sheet.

Handle stock adjustments and manage over-deliveries.
-
Support the annual audit and preparation of annual accounts.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Complete and submit VAT returns and other HMRC processes.

Oversee time and attendance management, including clocking administration, timesheets, annual leave, sickness, and absences.

Report accidents and manage related documentation.

Manage payroll, ensuring accurate filings and timely payments.

Handle pension submissions, including auto-enrolment processes.

Oversee property services, including rents, utilities, office supplies, and building services.

Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Key Skills of a Management Accountant:
-
At least 3 years of accounts experience.

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.

Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
-
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Enjoys working in a small team environment and can work independently when required.
