Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stroud
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 3:45pm; Friday, 7:00am – 12:30pm
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Benefits: 25 days holiday, annual bonus, 12% pension

Purpose of the Role:
To carry out day-to-day maintenance activities including routine servicing, fault finding, and repairs across machine shop and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance in line with control procedures.
  • Maintain inventories of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Plan and communicate maintenance activities with the Production and Facilities Managers.
  • Ensure all risk assessments are completed before starting maintenance work.
  • Support the management and oversight of contractors, ensuring compliance with health & safety and environmental legislation.
  • Be available for emergency call-outs and occasional out-of-hours work.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Working knowledge of CNC machinery.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems.
  • Mechanical fault-finding skills across pumps, compressors, fans, and rotating equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • General plumbing, pipe fitting, and compressed air systems knowledge.
  • Awareness of safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures.
  • Experience using lifts, scaffold towers, and forklifts (PASMA/PAL and FLT licence preferred).
