Machine Operative

Location: Dursley

Hours:
Double Days Shift Rotation
Early Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm (1:00pm finish Friday)
Late Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm (1:00pm – 8:00pm Friday)

Salary: £16.21 per hour

Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities of a Machine Operative:

  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
  • Work across a variety of manufacturing processes within the production department.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards.
  • Report any defects or issues to the Team Leader or Production Manager.
  • Contribute positively to continuous improvement initiatives and team activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure adequate information is available before commencing tasks.

Key Skills of a Machine Operative:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience operating machinery within a production setting.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow processes and work instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, hardworking and safety conscious approach.
