Job Title: Laboratory Assistant 6216

Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire

Hours: 39 hours per week

Salary: Competitive


Key Responsibilities of a Laboratory Assistant

  • Assist with the collection and sampling of plating and anodising treatment solutions.

  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.

  • Pump solutions for replacement and waste management.

  • Sample and analyse plating and anodising chemicals.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments, including calibration.

  • Ensure good housekeeping within the laboratory environment.

  • Manage and record data accurately.

  • Maintain environmental responsibility.

  • Comply with company health and safety procedures.
     

Key Skills of a Laboratory Assistant

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn.

  • Good housekeeping and organisational skills.

  • Effective team player.

  • Inquisitive, positive, and a good problem solver.

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel).

  • Qualification in English, Maths, and Chemistry (GCSE minimum level).

  • Relevant experience gained within a laboratory environment (desirable).

  • Experience working in an aerospace environment (AS9100 and NADCAP approved) (desirable).
