Gas Engineer – Gloucester, Hereford, Worcester

Location: Gloucester/Hereford/Worcester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: £36,500 – £44,200 per annum

Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gas Engineer to join our team, responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of gas heating systems. You will conduct routine safety checks, troubleshoot issues, and deliver right-first-time solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair domestic gas heating systems.
• Carry out routine safety checks and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions on the first visit.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete installations and repairs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
• Manage van stock efficiently to support first-time fixes.
• Deliver excellent customer service, building strong relationships with clients.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in heating service engineering and/or installations.
• Gas Safe and OFTEC registered.
• Extensive knowledge of heating system installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Experience working in occupied residential and social housing.
• Valid full clean UK driving licence.
• A flexible approach to working hours and locations.
• Good manual dexterity – must be comfortable working at height and in confined spaces.
• Plumbing experience is desirable.
