Key Responsibilities of a Financial Controller:

  • Lead month-end close, reconciliations, and management reporting

  • Drive system and process improvements across finance and operations
  • Monitor daily cash balances, working capital, and bank reconciliations
  • Process payroll for office staff and manage credit insurance cover
  • Supervise and develop members of the finance team
  • Champion the implementation and ongoing use of Prophet 21 (Epicor ERP)

Key Skills of a Financial Controller:

  • Proven experience in finance management (Financial Controller or similar)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial controls expertise

  • Confident using finance and ERP/accounting systems (Epicor Prophet 21 experience beneficial)
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy, and analytical ability
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work across all levels
  • A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach

What’s on Offer:

  • A pivotal role at the heart of a well-established, forward-thinking business
  • The opportunity to shape systems and processes during an exciting transition
  • A supportive leadership team that values professionalism and fresh ideas
  • Competitive salary of £40,000 – £50,000 per annum plus benefits
  • Excellent scope for professional development in finance and leadership
