Electrical Fitter

Location: Oxford

Working Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday 08:00am – 16:30pm

Salary: £25,000.00 – £34,000.00 per year (dependent on experience)

We are seeking an Electrical Fitter to join our client’s team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a globally recognised company in the aviation industry.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in plant engineering, HGV electrics, or similar fields, including ex-forces backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Fitter:

  • Wire components for bespoke aircraft refuelling vehicles.
  • Assemble electrical and pneumatic components onto custom panels.
  • Test work against set standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults.
  • Undertake occasional site work as needed.

Key Skills of a Workshop Electrical Fitter:

  • Proficiency in using electrical hand tools, such as crimpers, soldering irons, and wire strippers.
  • Ability to work with general hand and power tools, including drills and grinders.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Basic soldering skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
