Location: Quedgeley, Gloucester

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Salary: £11.44 p/hour

Brief Overview of the Job Role:
Our client is a leading manufacturing company looking to expand their well-established workforce! They are seeking a reliable and proactive Despatch Operative to join their busy team. This role is crucial to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities of the Despatch Operative:

• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Ensuring all goods are dispatched accurately and on time.
• Managing stock levels and conducting regular stock checks.
• Maintaining accurate records of dispatched items.
• Collaborating with other departments to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed in the despatch area.
• Operating forklifts or other equipment (if required and trained).
• General housekeeping duties to keep the despatch area clean and organized.

Key Skills of the Despatch Operative:

• Previous experience in a despatch or warehouse environment (preferred but not essential).
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic IT skills for updating records and documentation.
• A valid forklift license (if applicable).
