Location:
Tewkesbury
Hours:
Minimum 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (shift rota)
- Weekday start times: 04:00, 05:00, 06:00, 07:00, 08:00, 09:00
- Saturday start times: 04:00, 05:00, 06:00, 07:00
- Shifts vary based on production needs (not a fixed early/late rotation).
- Overtime paid at 1.25x after 40 hours.
Salary:
Starting at £13.17 per hour, rising to £13.53 with training
Key Responsibilities of a Counterbalance Forklift Driver:
- Operate a counterbalance FLT to safely load, unload, move and store goods across chilled warehouse and loading areas.
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders using order tickets and instructions.
- Complete stock rotation and replenishment to maintain product flow and reduce waste.
- Support safe vehicle loading by checking orders are correct, secure and ready for transport.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures and report incidents promptly.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, production and distribution teams to meet deadlines.
Key Skills of a Counterbalance Forklift Driver:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (renewed within the last 3 years).
- Previous FLT experience in a warehouse, distribution, FMCG, chilled or food production environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
- Reliable, flexible and able to commit to varying shift patterns.
- Confident communicator who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Desirable: PPT experience and dairy/FMCG background.
