Tewksbury

Hours:
Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 17:00 with a 30 minute lunch break, Friday 08:00 – 13:00

Salary:
Highly competitive DOE + monthly bonuses 

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter/Operator

To set and operate CNC machines to produce components efficiently and to the required quality standards.

• Set CNC machines to produce components efficiently and to the required quality
• Obtain Quality Control authorisation on the first off components
• Check all components are machined from the correct material
• Ensure all components are processed in accordance with the production layout, raising any discrepancies or required amendments with supervision
• Ensure all components are machined to drawing dimensions and tolerances
• Ensure all processes are performed efficiently and within set cycle times
• Comply with the company’s Quality Control procedures at all times
• Comply with the company’s Health and Safety policy at all times
• Recommend improvements to methods or processes to enhance quality or efficiency
• Maintain work area and machinery in a clean, tidy and organised condition
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested

Key Skills of a CNC Setter/Operator

• Experience setting and operating CNC machinery
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
• Ability to work efficiently and meet production targets
• Awareness of health and safety practices within a machine shop environment
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
