CNC / Miller / Turner / Centre Lathe
Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire
Hours: Fulltime | Permanent
Salary: £26,000 – 28,000 plus shift allowance and uncapped bonus scheme of £2,000+
Our client is looking for CNC Machinists to join their team!
You will set and operate CNC machines in line with the delivery requirements of the business, ensuring that products are produced efficiently and on time and are of the right quality, quantity, and cost.
Key Responsibilities of a CNC / Miller / Turner / Centre Lathe
- Cleaning and de-burring of parts.
- Set machines using best practice.
- Run machines in line with cycle time and estimated costed time.
- Work to the priorities as set by Production Supervision.
- Completion of an Actual Dimensional Report Sheet (ADRS) as required.
- Work with Production Engineering to come up with designs for Jigs and fixturing.
- Maintain good standards and support a culture of 5S plus Safety.
- Carry out in cycle inspection of the parts produced, using micrometres, verniers and coordinate measuring machine reports.
Key Skills of a CNC / Miller / Turner / Centre Lathe
- Apprenticeship trained or equivalent preferable.
- Experienced in all aspects of workshop practise.
- Experience in all aspects of Manual Machining e.g., screw cutting, jig and fixture making, some surface grinding.
- Experience and knowledge in working with Duplex and Nickel Alloy Materials.
- Good numerical and literacy skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
