CNC Programmer/Setter – Milling
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Hours: Full Time, Permanent (Day Shift)
Salary: £20.00 – £25.00 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Programmer/Setter – Milling:
- Programme, set and operate CNC vertical milling machines using Heidenhain controls or Fusion 360
- Manufacture precision components to fine tolerances from engineering drawings
- Machine a range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium and Inconel
- Inspect completed components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met
- Carry out self-inspection and make any necessary offsets or adjustments
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and quality requirements
Key Skills of a CNC Programmer/Setter – Milling:
- Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Experience using Heidenhain controls or Fusion 360
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience machining carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium and Inconel
- Competent using micrometers, verniers and other inspection equipment
- Able to work accurately to tight tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
