CNC Miller – Setter/Operator 6840

Location:
Stroud

Hours:
Monday to Thursday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Salary:
£16.25 per hour + £50 evening attendance bonus


Key Responsibilities of an Evening CNC Miller – Setter/Operator

  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job specifications
  • Selecting appropriate tooling and setting machine parameters to ensure optimal performance
  • Carrying out in-process inspections to ensure components meet required tolerances and quality standards
  • Making adjustments to offsets and tooling where necessary to maintain accuracy
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with company procedures
  • Reporting any machine faults, tooling issues, or quality concerns to the relevant department

Key Skills of an Evening CNC Miller – Setter/Operator

  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong understanding of machining tolerances, tooling, and materials
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently during evening shifts while maintaining productivity and quality
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment
