CNC Miller Setter Operator
Location: Coventry
Hours: Double days
Salary: £16.69 an hour
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller Setter Operator
-
Set up and operate milling machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently.

Produce components in accordance with technical drawings, route cards, and work instructions.

Carry out tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine parameter settings as required.

Conduct quality checks using appropriate measuring and gauging equipment and ensure all documentation is accurately completed.

Maintain and improve 5S standards on the shop floor.

Participate in routine maintenance and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities.

Identify and highlight opportunities for process and efficiency improvements.
-
Ensure compliance with all departmental and company quality standards.
-
Work safely and report any health and safety risks.
-
Train and support other operators as required.

Liaise with other departments to support production schedules.

Perform any additional ad-hoc duties as necessary.
Key Skills of a CNC Miller Setter Operator
-
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
-
Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
-
CNC or manual milling machine experience.
-
Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
-
Teamworking and mentoring capability.
-
Knowledge of TPM and 5S principles.
-
Good organisational and time management skills.
