Key Responsibilities of a CMM Quality Inspector

• Carry out inspection of precision-engineered components using a range of measuring equipment
• Programme and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS software
• Complete first-off, in-process and final inspections
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Investigate and report non-conformances
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department
• Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues

Key Skills of a CMM Quality Inspector

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Proven experience programming and operating CMM equipment
• Strong knowledge of PC-DMIS software
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience using a variety of measuring equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
