HGV Class 2 Driver 6668
Location:
Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Hours:
48 hours per week – night shifts (typical start times 23:00–02:00)
Salary:
£35,284.60 per annum + £20 weekly safety bonus
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Safely operate Category C vehicles in line with UK legislation, CPC requirements and tachograph regulations
- Complete multi-drop deliveries, ensuring accuracy, stock rotation and product quality
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Load and unload products safely, including manual handling
- Follow all health & safety, food hygiene and security procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing the business on the road
- Provide route cover during holidays or absence
Key Skills of an HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Full UK Category C licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
- Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends
- Newly qualified drivers welcome – full training provided
Progression Opportunities:
- Relief / run-out driver
- Upskilling to Class 1 (Category CE) at the Tewkesbury site
