Location:
Remote (with visits to Gloucester office approximately once or twice a month after initial on-site training)

Hours:
Full-time

Salary:
£40,000+ per annum depending on experience, plus commission package

Job Overview: Our client is a leading international provider of advanced Telecommunications solutions for mission and business-critical networks. They are recognised for innovative technology solutions, providing network infrastructure and associated applications that optimise existing networks and deliver digital transformation programs. They are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their Sales Team in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an expanding business at a pivotal time in the company’s history.
 

Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager:

  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Identify new business markets, clients, partnerships, products, and services while maintaining existing ones
  • Develop and build new customer relationships and manage expectations thereafter
  • Quantify network operator projects
  • Close sales orders from Telecom network operators

  • Proven track record as a Business Development Manager

  • Strong understanding of the company’s products and competition in the industry

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Technical skills to understand and propose products and solutions based on client requirements
  • Solid IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis software
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to research and stay up to date with Telecoms industry standards, trends, and insights

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Management experience or a degree in Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or Business Administration
  • Level 2 Diploma in Skills for Business: Sales & Marketing or Level 3 Award in Sales Management
  • 5+ years of proven experience in the Telecoms sector
