Automotive Paint & Adhesive Quality Technician 6613

Location: Covering 3 sites (travel time included)

Hours: Full-time, day shift

Salary: Up to £20.00 per hour DOE + fuel expenses


Key Responsibilities of an Automotive Paint & Adhesive Quality Technician

  • Conducting quality inspections and checks on automotive paint and adhesive (glue) applications.
  • Ensuring all products and processes meet strict quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Travelling between three key sites to provide on-site support and maintain consistency in quality procedures.
  • Identifying and reporting any non-conformances or deviations in paint and adhesive finishes.
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintaining detailed quality reports and documentation.
  • Supporting process improvements and recommending solutions to enhance quality performance.
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental standards on-site.

Key Skills of an Automotive Paint & Adhesive Quality Technician

Essential:

  • Proven experience within automotive paint or adhesive (glue) quality control.
  • Strong understanding of surface preparation, coating, and adhesive processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites as required (travel time paid).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO or IATF quality standards.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
