Assembly Fitter – Gloucester
Permanent – £14.85 – £16.97 per hour dependent on experience plus an excellent range of benefits
Day shift hours – 7.15am – 4.15pm (12.15pm on Friday)
Purpose of the role
This role is to provide the business with an appropriate level of set skills to carry out strip, assembly, and instrumentation testing of a range of valves repairs that will be undertaken by the business, with minimal supervision.
Primary Tasks:
- Carry out the assembly and commissioning of repaired or new valves to the appropriate standard and specification set in place by the relevant supporting documents.
- Testing of valves to appropriate standards or to the client’s specific test requirements.
- Completion of customer specific documentation.
- Ensuring that the appropriate hold points/inspection points are adhered to, as 3rd party signatories/verification.
- Understand the customer’s requirements as regards deliveries which may involve excessive hours to achieve required deliveries.
- Maintain a good level of housekeeping within the working environment you are currently in.
- Carry out responsibility with regards the company’s, its customers’ and statutory requirements for health, safety, and the environment.
- Positively promote the company’s products/services/reputation through actions of conduct.
Experience and qualifications:
- Engineering apprentice trained or equivalent is desirable
- Engineering background.
- Good level of knowledge in carrying out mechanical assembly and testing.
- To confidently be able to carry out the installation of instrumentation along with instrumentation diagnostics.
- Good standard of mathematical ability
- Basic computer literacy
Pay and benefits:
- £14.85 – £16.97 per hour plus overtime rates

- Holidays 25 days plus Bank Holidays.
