Warehouse Picker / Packer – Immediate Start 7050

Location: Gloucester

Hours: 40 hours per week, rotating early and late shifts: 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm

Salary: £29,394.30 per annum, including shift premium (£26,582.40 basic salary + £2,811.90 shift premium)

Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Picker / Packer

• Accurately pick customer orders, checking product codes and quantities.
• Pack and label goods securely, ready for dispatch.
• Operate material handling equipment (MHE) safely, in line with training and authorisation.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, checking goods and putting stock away.
• Replenish picking locations and support stock checks.
• Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods and equipment faults.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

Key Skills of a Warehouse Picker / Packer

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking and packing orders.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Clear communication and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A reliable, proactive approach to work.
• Awareness of warehouse health and safety procedures.

Essential Criteria of a Warehouse Picker / Packer

• Previous experience in a warehouse, picking and packing or similar role.
• Some experience using MHE, such as pallet trucks, powered pallet trucks or forklift trucks.
• Availability to work both early and late shifts.
• Ability to carry out the manual handling duties involved in the role safely.
