CNC Programmer/Setter – Milling

Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

Hours: Full Time, Permanent (Day Shift)

Salary: £20.00 – £25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Programmer/Setter – Milling:

  • Programme, set and operate CNC vertical milling machines using Heidenhain controls or Fusion 360
  • Manufacture precision components to fine tolerances from engineering drawings
  • Machine a range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium and Inconel
  • Inspect completed components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met
  • Carry out self-inspection and make any necessary offsets or adjustments
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Work closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and quality requirements

Key Skills of a CNC Programmer/Setter – Milling:

  • Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • Experience using Heidenhain controls or Fusion 360
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience machining carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium and Inconel
  • Competent using micrometers, verniers and other inspection equipment
  • Able to work accurately to tight tolerances
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
