Job Title

CNC Miller Setter

Location: Quedgeley, Gloucestershire

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 per annum + monthly bonus scheme

Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller Setter:

  • Setting and operating 3-axis and 5-axis HAAS CNC milling machines (VF4 and UMC)
  • Editing and adjusting HAAS programmes as required
  • Carrying out first-off inspections using verniers, micrometers and other measuring equipment
  • Ensuring components are manufactured to specification and quality standards
  • Supporting colleagues and assisting across the machine shop when required
  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment

Key Skills of a CNC Miller Setter:

  • Minimum of 3 years' CNC machining experience, including setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • Experience with HAAS controls and machinery
  • Strong understanding of G-Code with the ability to edit and adjust programmes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Competent in the use of inspection and measurement equipment
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
