Production Operative

Temporary Production Operative (Temp to Perm)

Location: Bridgwater  

Hours: Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday 8am until 4.30pm with a 1pm finish on a Friday 

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Key Responsibilities of a Production Operative:

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of all products. 
• Operate various production machinery, including weighing, mixing, and pressing equipment. 
• Set up tooling for production runs. 
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process. 
• Carry out all operations as outlined in production paperwork and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 
• Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times. 
• Work flexibly and be willing to be transferred to other production areas as needed. 
• Perform all work activities in accordance with health and safety requirements. 
• Maintain a high standard of punctuality and attendance. 
• Work well under the pressure of deadlines. 

Key Skills of a Production Operative:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial. 
• Good manual dexterity. 
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. 
• An understanding of how quality impacts business operations. 
• The ability to understand and complete paperwork accurately. 
• A team player with a positive attitude. 
• Flexible with the ability to learn new skills and adapt to new processes. 
• Excellent communication skills
• A strong health and safety mindset.
